Well if this week hasnt been hectic i dunno what hectic is! been on work experience in a junior school down the road and its certainly been an interesting experience. the twins are just about to start uni so the house is going into packing mode. I dont have a clue what its gonna be like with them gone, i mean what could a house thats always been so full be like when we have two less mouths to feed. They have promised to visit frequently, but with one in Bristol and one in Edinbourgh i dunno how often we will all be under the same roof.
Anyway the work experience. It was a laugh i guess, since i had a small group of year 3s to look after for a whole week, and soem of them were sooo cute! i had one who asked me what year group i was in, i said 11, and he said "I bet your the prettiest year 11!" i was like AWWWW! Im gonna miss the kids, they really are a great class, and all the teachers were so nice. However im off to a vets next week for my second week out of school, and i almost wish i could stay with the liluns. I know i have always told mum that i want to be a vet, but all the hard work just doesnt seem wirth it anymore. When you are already stressed about your GCSEs in year 9 because you know you have to get all As or A*s is a bit creepy, and i almost want to give up right now. I guess being in the vets next week will either encourage me to keep going with all the studies, or will well and truely destroy the dream. At least then i will know. Ill keep y'all posted =]
Brothers. linked to the fun week at the school is the slightly worrying love life of my oldest brother Ed. His love life has always been one of the most interesting out of my brothers, but when he came to pick me up from work one day last week it came as a bit of a surprise to me that the teacher i was working with had once dated him! apparently they went to uni together, her on the teacher training course and him doing his degree in Geography. It was a bit worrying when they started up the googoo eyes at each other, so i guess i could be seeing more of the friendly teacher who helped me so much with my work experience. Shes nice enough, in fact shes down right lovely, everything i would wish for my fool of a brother, but i guess i really wasn't expecting it. Its a small world afterall.
So apart from those few traumas life has been its normal monotastic self, you know eat sleep drink kind of stuff
until next time

Me in however many words
hey all :)
welcome to the first post on Books, Buttons and Banter. Tbh with you all im not very good at all this, but some pretty weird things have bin goin down recently and one of my best mates told me that blogging it all down would be a great idea. help it all get settled in my mind ya know? so here goes
Well I'm 15, English (half Aussie) and live on the south coast of this great land we call England. I'm in school atm, and so that might be the reason for the scary teenagerisms you might find throughout my post. I'll try to keep them to a minimum, but when i go off on one there really is no stopping me. Its like typed out word vomit, its just there as i think it and theres no going back!
I live at home with both of my parents, and my 5 brothers. I know, only girl in a family of 7, wheres the luck in that? I'm the 2nd youngest, with one brother of 13 - Henry, the twins at 18 - Ollie and Chris, another at 21 - Jonathan, and the oldest at 26 - Edward. We aren't exactly rich but we get by, mostly just meaning i don't get everything i ask for, and a hefty amount of cash from my parents means a tenner, but we aren't knee deep in debt, which for a family of 8 isn't too bad.
the school i go to is great, and all my friends there are fab. i don't exactly like school, but i guess theres more to life than sitting at home all day doing nothing. School has brought with it some brilliant friends and i wouldn't trade that for the world, so i guess it can't all be bad. I'm just going into my final year of secondary school, so have all the doom and gloom of GCSE's and rubbish to look forward to, so if you decide to keep reading this then you get all the joys of teenage trauma to come.
i don't have a steady boyfriend at the moment, and its not for lack of trying believe me. That's just another one of the joys you have to look forward to if you keep reading my posts. The basic line of it is that i make a better friend than a girlfriend. I have loads of mates who are guys, i become interested in one of them, but none of them want to jeopardize their friendship with me. Its a never ending cycle of babble, but at least it might make interesting reading for some of you, even if it is just for the sake of trying to understand the phsyce of a teenage girl.
Hobbies. Ok then back on track for what i was actually going to write in this post. Gods knows that if you have read this far then i may as well give you something interesting to read about. One of my main loves in life is reading. I know, not something that you usually hear from a girl my age, but im not your nerdy type. i just have this insane love for the fictional works. I think a really good book is one that just pulls you into the world, so you can forget all the the rubbish in your own life and read about someone else. To be able to loose yourself in a book is one of the many wonders of the brain, and i have the utmost respect for any author who can really pull me in. One day i would love to be a writer, even if i didn't get anything in the bestseller lists. So you can expect a lot of this from me, recommendations of books, rants about the amazingness of books, (if you haven't read the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer then i implore you to do so! worlds best books, especially for teenagers, and you may be hearing alot about them in these blogs. this just demonstrates one of my rants, i might have to stop before i really get started)
I'm going to have to stop writing for now as the fun of organizing work experience beckons. I'm working in the local vets for two weeks in September and i have lots of last minute details to sort out.
If you have made it to the end of this post then i congratulate you
